For me I found the topic of movement the most challenging for several of reasons. Firstly
we had to adjust the exposure settings to enable us to capture a blurry image to relate to
movement. We had to take into account the lighting of the setting as if it was too bright the
image would just come out white. Also it was difficult to gage when to press the shutter button to gather images off moving objects. However, eventually I got the hang of it and even
started to experiment with different types of camera levels.
I feel this picture was successful due to the curved streaks moving in a circular motion
as it illustrates that moving is occurring. I created this by experimenting with camera movement by moving it in a circular way. White streaks of light are created, from the gaps in the bush.
I also feel that this image was effective as the blurred image represents the movement
taking place. There is also a variety of colours and lights which are blurred and therefore form an appealing piece of work.
Progression:
If I was reshooting the topic of movement I would attempt to create a piece of work which includes streaks of light in it taken at night. For example, I would go to a motorway bridge and look down on the motorway. I would increase the exposure time on the camera to allow the long light streaks to be formed. As all the cars move past the camera will be picking up the lights and then blur them and create a very successful piece.
