Image Bank - Reflection

Image Bank

The pictures which I have gathered all represent the formal element  reflection.Reflection can be formed in a variety of ways including water, mirrors or an reflective surface. The actual reflection itself you get can be an exact transcription of the real life image or a distorted image can be formed. This occurs in specific mirrors and crippled water.

This photograph shows the reflection of colour, more than the reflection of the appearance and form/shape of the original object. Instead just the colour is reflected into the surface if the water. The areas of the water which reflects the green streak in the sky is much larger than the streak itself.

In this image the reflection of the bridge is within the water which lies underneath it. The reflection is distorted, caused by the ripples in the water which shows its movement. This is shown through the alter shape of the reflect where it is reflected in zig zag styles lines, instead of reflecting the actual image.

Here the reflection is once again caused by the presence of water, however this time the reflection is almost exactly the same as the original object. This is because the water is still which allows the reflect the object exactly as it is. The colours are darker in the reflection due to the colour of the water. The lines where the water and mountains meet can perhaps act as a line of symmetry.
